Near-Term Updates and Roadmap (2026)

Updates

Recent updates for Field Service in late 2025 and early 2026 were to strengthen integration with Finance and Operations applications by connecting Field Service work order data directly to Project Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain Management.

The integrations, which rely on Dynamics 365 “dual-write” technology, remove manual reentry efforts that are fraught with errors and reduces the need to write custom applications. The features automatically move estimates, labor hours, material usage, and actual costs and progress into projects and financials, improving data accuracy. They also help with inventory tracking, allowing product requests and installation to flow from Field Service through to Supply Chain Management.
