Microsoft Entra ID updates recently released or in preview during 2025 include:

Cross-tenant synchronization is generally available, enabling synchronization of source users to target tenancy B2B guests; this is available for commercial to commercial and government to government scenarios; two-way forest trusts are now also generally available between Entra Domain Services and AD domains

Customers can now convert the source of authority (SOA) for accounts from AD to Entra ID, allowing customers to increasingly focus on migration away from AD to Entra ID
