The FastTrack benefit, consisting of guidance and support from Microsoft, can help qualified organizations modernize legacy business software and plan and implement their migration to Azure hosting and development. However, the program only addresses specific common Azure scenarios, which could leave customers in need of additional consulting services, and some FastTrack benefits are available only to larger enterprise customers.

Program Overview

A typical engagement consists of migration and best practices guidance from Microsoft engineers and Microsoft partners, not hands-on consulting. It is delivered in three stages and usually lasts four to six weeks. In FastTrack for Azure, Microsoft focuses on the most common scenarios for Azure migration:

  • Architecture guidance
  • Development and test, including DevOps processes (which enable development and IT teams to work together closely to deploy software frequently), the creation of native cloud applications, and modernization of existing applications
