Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise, formerly known as Office 365 ProPlus, is a suite of Office applications licensed on a Per-User subscription basis. For Windows PCs, Microsoft 365 Apps suite includes Word, Excel PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Access, and Publisher (retiring Oct. 2026). Microsoft 365 Apps follows Microsoft’s Online Services Support Policy.

Recent Updates and Near-Term Plans (2026 and 2027) 

Update details are based on the release channel used (see Servicing below).

Updates to M365 Apps for enterprise will likely continue to focus on fixing issues and include few new features (mostly related to AI initiatives). Enhancements for the Office suite will result from updates to Microsoft 365 Copilot and related AI technologies, such as Agent Mode and Anthropic Office agents.

Microsoft 365 Apps are supported on Windows Server 2022 until Oct. 2026, the end of Mainstream support for that version of Windows Server.
