Microsoft 365 Copilot (M365 Copilot) is Microsoft’s AI-based productivity suite available to organizations with an add-on license to M365 subscriptions. M365 Copilot provides an array of features including chat, search, and image creation capabilities, leveraging Microsoft Graph data (work data) and Web data through the Web site and the M365 Copilot app. Context-aware integrations of M365 Copilot are available in Office applications and Microsoft 365 services like Teams and SharePoint. M365 Copilot also hosts prebuilt and custom-built agents to augment or automate business processes. Customers enrolled in the Frontier program have access to preview features.

Near Term (2026)
The M365 Copilot roadmap for 2026 is loaded with updates as Microsoft continues to invest heavily in the service. The addition of net new features in the core M365 Copilot service is slowing as the focus is on improving and expanding what’s already there as well as maintenance and administration.
