Microsoft will retire Skype for Business Online on July 31, 2021, and the service will be replaced by Teams as Microsoft’s hosted unified communication service. Customers currently using Skype for Business Online should already be in the process of their migration to Teams. Skype for Business Server, Microsoft’s on-premises unified communications solution, remains supported, and a new version is planned for late 2021.
