Dynamics 365 Operations includes the following major components:

Finance provides core business features including finance, accounting, tax, payroll, and HR.

Supply Chain Management provides warehouse management, inventory, logistics, procurement, and shipping functionality.

Commerce (previously called Retail) provides physical store management, including point-of-sale (POS) solutions; customer management; online store creation and management; warehouse, inventory, and logistics; and finance and payment processing.

Human Resources (previously called Talent) provides core HR management features, like compensation, benefits, and training. The talent acquisition (recruitment) features (Attract and Onboard) are being retired in Feb. 2022, in favor of LinkedIn.

Project Operations provides integrated features for initial sales and quote; project management, scheduling, and resource optimization; and project accounting and revenue recognition.

Add-on applications are optional components that extend the functionality of a core application, such as the Asset Management add-on that provides maintenance analysis features for maintaining company equipment.
