AI context is the structured, relevant information an AI system uses to interpret meaning, make decisions, and execute tasks reliably. It includes user intent, past interactions, enterprise data, policies, workflow state, and real‑time signals. As AI systems become more capable, context increasingly determines their accuracy, reliability, and business value.

Modern AI agents operate in complex environments: multistep workflows, compliance constraints, fragmented data sources, and changing organizational logic. Without deep context, agents risk guessing, hallucinating, repeating steps, or violating policies because they lack grounding in what matters. This is why enterprises struggle to operationalize agents at scale: models are powerful, but the context layer has been missing.

AI context fills three gaps:

Relevance and precision. AI can tailor outputs to a task, role, customer, or workflow. Instead of generic responses, it produces decisions aligned with business logic and authoritative data.
