Office 365 Roadmaps from DOM and Microsoft

An Office 365 roadmap site provided by Microsoft enables existing and potential customers of Office 365 to see some of Microsoft’s future plans for the services, which could help guide Office 365 management and procurement decisions. The roadmap describes features that have been launched, are currently being rolled out, are in development, or have been canceled.

However, some major updates featured in the Directions on Microsoft Enterprise Software Roadmap are not currently listed in Microsoft’s Office 365 roadmap. For example, Microsoft’s roadmap omits Lync Enterprise Voice support (which it announced last year) and a new version of Office for Mac, both likely to appear during 2014. Although Microsoft’s roadmap is not exhaustive, it could help potential customers decide whether to purchase the services and help current customers prepare users and systems for major service updates.
