Skype Meeting Broadcast

Skype Meeting Broadcast is a service included with Skype for Business Online subscriptions that supports audio and video broadcasts of up to 10,000 attendees, many more than the limit of 250 attendees in a Skype for Business Online meeting. Skype Meeting Broadcast functions as a “few to many” broadcast service, and its meetings are better suited than Skype for Business Online meetings for all-company presentations, live online training, informational sessions, and other less-interactive events. Meeting Broadcast presenters use the Skype for Business client application, while attendees view meetings via a Web client.

Features of Skype Meeting Broadcast include the following:

• Meetings can be open to anyone with the meeting link, limited to specific members of an organization’s Office 365 tenancy, or open to the entire organization
• PowerPoint slides can be uploaded and presented in meetings, but desktop sharing is not currently supported
