To accomplish its companywide Windows 11 upgrade, Microsoft used a variety of its products and services. The following products and services are listed in the phase in which they were likely most important, but some tools were likely used in multiple phases.

Several services rely on Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM), which is a Microsoft-hosted Web console that can be used to manage endpoints from a single user interface, whether the device is managed through Configuration Manager, Intune, or both. App Assure is a program that is part of the Microsoft FastTrack benefit. It provides advisory guidance and remediation to repair application compatibility issues with applications that are being migrated to run on Windows 10, Windows 11, or Microsoft 365 to enterprise customers at no additional cost.

Configuration Manager, officially called Endpoint Configuration Manager, is Microsoft’s on-premises server application for client management.
