Azure Backup center is a unified portal for managing, monitoring, and configuring backups in Azure. The service, which became generally available on Mar. 2, 2021, provides a single administration and reporting console for services that include Azure Backup, storage vault configuration, Azure Backup reports, and Azure Policy. It delivers an aggregate view into backup job status, reporting, and policies and compliance across an organization’s Azure subscriptions, locations, vaults, and resource groups. Backup center can improve an organization’s backup management by providing access to tasks and collected information that previously required several different UIs in the Azure portal.
The screen shot shows the overview tab, which displays the status of backup and restore jobs in the last 24 hours, and the status of the associated backup instances. Information in the overview tab can be filtered by subscription, resource group, location, data source type, and vault. At the top of the window, icons enable administrators to add a backup, initiate a restore, or add a backup policy or new vault.
