Microsoft offers several hosted, specialized database offerings that provide capabilities for specific workloads. These services are not designed for general database use, although they have some customization capabilities. This report covers three such services: Dataverse, Azure Cache for Redis, and Azure Confidential Ledger. Each targets specific use cases.

Dataverse

Dataverse is a Microsoft-hosted database service for traditional business data. The service’s primary focus is to provide back-end database capabilities for the Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio, and for Dynamics 365 CRM-related applications.
