  • An increasingly large set of premium Microsoft security services could help organizations more efficiently update, manage, and secure systems, and remediate incidents.
  • They come at additional cost over Microsoft Defender services included in the E5 Security suite and Defender for Cloud, but most require those services as well.
  • Several services are still in development, and Microsoft’s offerings in this space are rapidly churning and evolving.
  • Customers should work with Microsoft to ensure that their expectations are accurate, particularly when it comes to Microsoft’s managed services.

These security services are all relatively new, are not included with any existing suites or services, and several are still in development; however, they could be a way to reduce administrative fatigue (dealing with the barrage of alerts coming from these services) and add another level of responsibility to escalate to when security incidents occur.
