Power BI Premium reduces the number of individual user licenses required and introduces higher performance and better management features. Power BI is Microsoft’s technology to create and share reports, dashboards, and other forms of business intelligence (BI) content. Premium allows an unlimited number of internal and external users without individual subscription licenses to view reports that contain advanced features, such as shared dashboards and user-based security. Entry-level tiers support reports embedded in applications, while higher-level tiers include the full hosted service and an on-premises option. However, report authors still require their own subscription licenses.

Unlimited Sharing that Minimizes Individual User Licenses

Power BI is a family of services and software to create and share interactive reports, dashboards, and other BI content. The Power BI line includes Microsoft-hosted online services, data connectors and gateways, report design tools, client-side applications, and server software to design, host, access, and deliver data for BI content.
