Power BI Paginated Report (RDL) Migration Tool

RdlMigration, a free tool to help migrate SQL Server Reporting Services reports (called RDLs) to Power BI, simplifies and automates many of the manual processes required to migrate reports to the Power BI cloud service. The tool will likely interest organizations considering or performing large migrations from local servers to Power BI. It performs compatibility checks, identifies unsupported data sources or features used in reports, and converts shared datasets and resources to embedded datasets and resources, which will likely require modifying once the report is migrated. The tool also provides several options for uploading RDLs, including copying an individual report, an entire Reporting Services folder, or reports in a local folder or SharePoint Server integrated location. A summary report lists success and failure of each report and issues identified. The tool works on copies of the RDLs and does not affect the original source. It is PowerShell based, and requires registration with a Power BI tenant and security access to the destination Power BI workspace.
