Azure Managed Grafana for Monitoring Telemetry Data

Azure Managed Grafana (in preview) is a cloud service that provides open source dashboards and alerts to monitor telemetry data received from Azure resources, on-premises, and other clouds. The service could help customers consolidate monitoring efforts, regardless of where the telemetry data is created, and it is a more popular solution for visualizing and monitoring data than the tools in Azure Monitor. Grafana is an open source product used to gather data and build monitoring dashboards from time series data, logs, and metrics generated from application and infrastructure activities. The dashboards and alerts provided by Grafana help IT professionals monitor performance and react to issues. The service uses Grafana Pro, which supports extensibility plug-ins for accessing external data sources and using third-party visualizations. It is integrated with Azure Monitor and Azure Data Explorer and relies on Azure Active Directory for authentication. Microsoft has not published an expected general availability date or pricing details.
