Power BI, Microsoft’s BI platform, has updated iOS and Android mobile apps with new capabilities, such as alerts, administration, and user productivity features. They remove the need to perform certain tasks through the Power BI portal or administration module, either at a computer or through a mobile device’s Web browser.

Administrator, Owner Updates

Updates for administrative tasks include the following:

Report and data access requests (shown here) can now be resolved through the mobile apps. Owners and administrators can receive alerts when users submit a report or dataset access request, and they can approve the request remotely. When away from a computer, the ability to grant access can significantly reduce the time the requesting user has to wait for approval.
