Viva Pulse, one of several components in Microsoft’s Employee Experience Platform (EXP), is a feedback tool that allows managers to send poll requests (called pulses) to team members and then review aggregated results to identify areas for improvement.

Near-Term Updates and Roadmap (2026)

Viva Pulse development and marketing activity are low compared to Viva Glint or Viva Engage. Pulse has no items on Microsoft’s public roadmap, and its blog was last updated in Jan. 2025. The pattern suggests that Microsoft has stopped investing in Pulse as an independent product.

Long-Term Roadmap (Beyond 2026)

Pulse will probably evolve into a feature of a broader product. The roadmaps of Viva Glint , Insights, and Pulse suggest they will merge into a single workforce monitoring product that includes all three, and that customers buy through the Viva Suite or the Viva Workplace Analytics and Employee Feedback license.

Current Pulse customers can find substitutes, but there is no immediate threat of cancellation. A reasonable policy is to hold off on new integration or customization of Pulse until Microsoft clarifies its plans.
