The primary tools for development on the Windows Azure platform are the Windows Azure SDK (now in version 1.4), the Windows Azure Tools for Visual Studio (version 1.4), and the Windows Azure AppFabric SDK version 1.0.

Other downloads support the use of Azure from Windows Phone, Apple iOS, Java, PHP, and Ruby, the use of the Eclipse integrated development environment instead of Visual Studio, and the development of online games that use Azure services.
