Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Online hosted service provides customer relationship management (CRM), service, sales, and marketing components. The illustration outlines the licenses for the Customer Engagement service and the technical features and capabilities each makes accessible.

Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement online consists of multiple applications, shown on the left as Customer Service (Enterprise & Professional), Field Service, Project Service, Sales (Enterprise & Professional), and Marketing. Each application targets a specific business function and is licensed individually or can be bundled in plans.

Multiple categories of Dynamics 365 licenses are available and can be licensed with either a Device Subscription License (Device SL) or User Subscription License (User SL), except where noted below. They can be purchased in any combination.

Starting from the least functional to the most functional, the available subscriptions include the following:

Team Member subscriptions (top) provide users full read access across all Dynamics 365 applications as well as some write access for select light tasks, such as access to accounts, contacts, or time/expense entry and work order approvals.
