Dynamics 365 Operations is licensed by a mix of user, device, and capacity subscription licenses for individual applications. The illustration details the primary subscription offerings in the Dynamics 365 Operations product family and outlines the levels of technical features and capabilities licensed via various User Subscription Licenses (User SLs), Device SLs, and capacity-based subscriptions.

Core Business Applications

The core Operations business applications are listed along the left of the illustration.

Use of basic features across many applications. Team Member (top left), available only as a User SL, provides full read access across all Dynamics 365 online applications and some write access for select light-use tasks. Team Member User SLs also provide Dynamics 365 Human Resources Self-Service rights.

Subscriptions that license access to an individual application are shown on the left in red. Each is available as a User SL. All application subscriptions provide Team Member–level access to the other Dynamics 365 core applications.
