Microsoft Teams is a cloud service that offers group-based collaboration spaces with persistent chat, voice and video meetings, capabilities to receive and place external calls on a public-switched telephone network (PSTN), integrated access to Microsoft 365 services like SharePoint Online and Planner, and connections to many third-party services. Teams is included in Microsoft 365 and Office 365 suites by default. As of Nov. 1, 2025, customers also have the option of purchases those suites without Teams.
