Azure governance encompasses the practices, processes, services, and tools that enable organizations to maintain deployments that minimize risk while efficiently meeting solution requirements. It includes areas such as access control, deployment policies, cost budgeting, and manageability. Governance difficulties can be reduced by optimized planning and design. Several Azure offerings assist with initial and ongoing governance.

Planning for Azure

Planning for an organizational adoption of Azure involves considerations and choices in several areas. Azure accounts and resources can be provisioned in minutes, but without thorough planning, organizations may experience ongoing difficulties with the processes and performance of their Azure-based solutions. Planning will help determine how Azure tasks and processes will be performed using various Azure services and tools, internal solutions, and third-party assistance.
