Azure Database offers MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB open-source relational database services.
The services offer quick deployment, scaling, and high availability that remove the need for customers to manage the underlying infrastructure.
Customers have to accept ongoing upgrades to supported database software versions.

MySQL and PostgreSQL open-source relational database offerings are generally available as Azure fully managed services. MariaDB is in preview. The services allow developers to quickly deploy and scale the environments with minimal upfront investment, which could help with dev/test or for applications that need variable capacity. The services include high availability, automated backups, and security, but they limit customers to the most current, supported open-source community editions.
