Azure Video Analyzer (part of Azure Applied AI Services) is being retired without leaving preview; possible migration destinations include Cognitive Services, Dynamics 365, or third-party solutions. Customers should migrate away from the service before Dec. 1, 2022, when the service will be shut down. Video Analyzer provides features to record video and analyze recorded or live video to detect activity or find specific objects, such as faces. It can publish results to storage for further analysis and perform automated processes, such as logging suspicious activities to separate storage. Microsoft provides migration advice, suggesting customers rebuild applications in Dynamics 365 Connected Spaces (an application that analyzes video feeds to provide visibility into how people experience physical spaces such as stores) or move their applications to Cognitive Services’ Computer Vision offering, which includes a feature called Spatial Analysis on which Video Analyzer was built.
