Dynamics 365 Online-branded services are offered in various individual component and combined offerings and sold via User Subscription Licenses (SLs), client Device SLs, tenancy-level subscriptions, and capacity-related charges. Dynamics 365 is Microsoft’s family of software and hosted services that provides customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), retail, and other components.

Dynamics 365 online services consist of multiple applications, shown here on the left as Customer Service, Field Service, Project Service Automation, Sales, Finance & Operations, Retail, and Talent. In general, each application targets a specific business function that also corresponds to a security group, has two or three feature levels, and can generally be licensed individually or in specific groups.

Client types. Multiple categories of Dynamics 365 enterprise subscription licenses are available and can be purchased in any combination.

Team Member User SLs (top left) provide users full read access across all Dynamics 365 Online applications as well as some write access for select light tasks, such as access to accounts, contacts, and leads or time/expense entry.
