Analyst ReportMobile Apps Bring Wider Access to Dynamics CRM
New Dynamics CRM 2013 mobile apps for tablets and phones support mobile sales personnel with remote access to CRM sales data, which allows them to capture data and access key sales information while in the field. However, the apps are limited to sales functions out of the box and have other shortcomings, which may limit their adoption, especially by users who can access the full Dynamics CRM Web application from the same device. Features vary by mobile app, device, and OS and may require trade-offs to select the right device and app combination.
Mobile App Functionality Is Optimized for Touch Devices
The Dynamics customer relationship management (CRM) software helps workers manage marketing, sales, and customer service processes. Organizations can also use Dynamics CRM as a platform for custom applications in other areas, such as logistics or recruiting, by defining custom entities with supporting user interface and business logic. Users generally access Dynamics CRM installations through a Web application or an Outlook add-in, which enables users to view and update Dynamics CRM data while offline.
