RoadmapAzure DevOps Server Roadmap
Azure DevOps Server supports application life-cycle management processes, including source code control, project and build management, collaborative development, test planning and execution, and deployment. Azure DevOps Server is a rebranding of the former Team Foundation Server product. The offering overlaps with GitHub (in particular, the GitHub Enterprise Server on-premises software), which is gaining capabilities at a faster rate and will likely eventually supplant Azure DevOps Server. However, it is unlikely that Azure DevOps Server will become deprecated for many years.

Near Term (2025–2026)
Azure DevOps Server enhancements appear first in Azure DevOps, a Microsoft-hosted service based on the same technology. Microsoft focuses on delivering the latest features in the Azure DevOps service; Azure DevOps Server releases roll up features that have been offered first in the hosted service.
Azure DevOps Server 2022 is the latest major version. A new version could arrive near the end of 2025 or in the first half of 2026 because a new version of Visual Studio is expected in late 2025, and major versions of the two offerings typically arrive at about the same time.
