Office refers to Microsoft’s family of document-editing and collaboration applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. This chapter summarizes the roadmaps for two suites of Office client applications.

Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise Roadmap summarizes the future for Microsoft’s primary Office suite, which was formerly known as Office 365 ProPlus. It is sold exclusively on subscription and is included with Microsoft 365 service plans.

Office LTSC Roadmap summarizes the future of the application suite for Windows and macOS. It offers fewer end-user features than Microsoft 365 Apps capabilities but offers management, regulatory compliance, and licensing advantages in some specific situations.
