Viva Amplify, one of several components in Microsoft’s Employee Experience Platform (EXP), is a browser-based campaign management component used for organizational communication and awareness around shared goals and events. Based on the mature SharePoint News feature, it provides tools to create, manage, and distribute messages (publications) across multiple channels, including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint Online.

Recent Updates and Near Term Roadmap (2026)

Viva Amplify will become a component of SharePoint Online in 2026. Specifically, a new Publish component in SharePoint Online will include Amplify and all its capabilities for creating and monitoring campaigns sent through SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, and Viva Engage. The new, SharePoint-integrated Amplify will also add a “republish” capability to update collateral and perform other tasks while a campaign is running.
