Viva Engage (formerly Yammer) is one of several components in Microsoft’s Viva Employee Experience Platform (EXP). Engage is a Teams app and social platform for employee collaboration, management announcements and events, and social interaction inside an organization. It includes typical social media features including chat, storylines (automatically curated feeds of content), interest groups (called communities), and praise of colleagues and content. Human Resources professionals and executives can send communications to Viva Engage audiences and use Engage analytics to judge how their message lands. A companion product, Viva Amplify, can conduct longer communication campaigns that target Engage as well as Teams, SharePoint, and e-mail.
