Viva Learning is one of the top components for current and future investment, highlighting Microsoft’s commitment to training and education. Like other areas, Viva Learning is receiving new AI-based capabilities to help users discover content, although some features will likely be exclusive to premium licenses.
Updates
People Skills (formerly Skills in Viva) replaced Viva Interests in Dec. 2025. Learners can search for specific skills and select them to receive personalized course content.
Viva Learning agent (in preview) uses natural language queries to generate personalized recommendations, learning paths, and role-play exercises based on a user’s role, skills, and activity in Microsoft 365, drawing from enterprise and third-party sources like LinkedIn Learning. Microsoft has not announced a date for general availability.
