Microsoft continues to offer three ERP products that are aimed at small and midsize organizations (50 to 500 employees) but that have historically garnered some larger customers.

These products are unlikely to sharply change their target markets or geographic reach, but Microsoft continues to make improvements to their business functionality and platforms and update them to run on and take advantage of the latest versions of Windows Server, SQL Server, Office, and other platform products.

These products are expected to follow the overall Dynamics strategy and deploy new mobile applications, integrate with Azure services and Office 365, and include releases that are deployed in Azure VMs.

Dynamics NAV

Dynamics NAV is sold worldwide and frequently deployed in manufacturing, distribution, and services businesses. Dynamics NAV has also been used as a platform by partners to build “microvertical” applications for managing specific types of businesses, such as dental offices and breweries. At Convergence, Microsoft said it has more than 110,000 customers, compared to 102,000 as of last year’s conference. The Dynamics NAV team plans twice yearly updates to the product’s features.
