Major developments for Microsoft’s business applications roadmap since the June 2014 Enterprise Software Roadmap include the following:

  • The OWA for Android application became available as a preview in June 2014.
  • Skype introduced free group video calling, between Skype users.
  • New releases of Dynamics CRM (Dynamics CRM Online Spring ’14 and Dynamics CRM 2013 Service Pack 1) improve customer case management, introduce social traffic monitoring, and simplify marketing campaign management.
  • Dynamics Marketing (previously Marketing Pilot) and Dynamics Social Listening (previously NetBreeze) appear as separate Office 365 service offerings, enabling non-Dynamics customers to use the products.
  • Dynamics Lifecycle Services, a collaboration tool for managing Dynamics AX implementations, received numerous updates including significant enhancements to its process library, which is used for business process modeling.
  • Dynamics AX 2012 R3, released May 1, 2014, includes improved retail,
