Azure Arc can help customers use Azure SQL Managed Instance and Database for PostgreSQL while maintaining an on-premises footprint. The service (now known as Azure Arc enabled SQL Managed Instance) can help customers meet compliance requirements that may have prevented them from using Azure-hosted database services. However, Arc data services usage requires new deployment technology and connectivity to Azure that could expose sensitive information to Microsoft.
