Azure Arc is a set of capabilities for using Azure management interfaces to work with deployments hosted outside of Azure. Arc works by extending the Azure Resource Manager management framework to create Azure resources that exist outside of Azure, but which can be managed in Azure alongside Azure-hosted deployments using several of the same UIs and services, such as tags, policies, advanced security, monitoring, and backup.
Arc Enabled Data Services
Azure Arc enabled data services is a set of technologies and components that enable customers to deploy the following Azure PaaS database services on-premises, in non-Azure clouds, and in Azure-based Kubernetes clusters.
Azure SQL Managed Instance is a managed database management offering, based on SQL Server’s database engine, designed for organizations seeking a platform that closely resembles a traditional SQL Server instance. The service has several performance tiers that loosely correspond to SQL Server editions. Currently, the general purpose tier is generally available, while the business-critical tier is in preview.
