Near-Term Updates and Roadmap (2026)
HR expected updates are still minimal, which represents the third year in a row that the team has not significantly advanced this application. It’s likely they remain focused on resolving issues from the infrastructure merge project, although Microsoft’s focus on “all things AI” may be taking away needed resources. The infrastructure merge project was a major multiyear effort that brought the stand-alone HR application into the same back-end infrastructure cloud environment as the other Finance and Operations applications and consolidated HR features from the other applications.
Recent updates and plans include:
Streamlining interview scheduling addresses a persistent recruiting bottleneck: coordinating interview availability across multiple participants. The feature consolidates interviewer calendars (based on their Entra ID account) into a single visual view with status indicators to reduce manual coordination, back-and-forth e-mails, scheduling conflicts, and cycle time. For organizations hiring at scale or relying on panel interviews, the primary value is faster time-to-hire and a more predictable recruitment process.
