Introduction
Microsoft Fabric is a data and analytics cloud service that simplifies the deployment and use of other Microsoft data and analytics services. It combines them into a cohesive offering where developers can collaborate and share data but continue to work with the specialized tools they need. The structure of Fabric removes much of the complexity of deploying and paying for the separate services by providing an environment where the services are preconnected and share a common UI and security structure. It reduces complexity and cost, improves security and compliance, and speeds deployment compared to using the other services separately.
The Fabric Overview product entry includes a detailed explanation of the product and components, management requirements, and a summary of pricing and licensing requirements.
The Fabric Overview Roadmap entry summarizes recent updates, planned features, and likely future developments, as well as scheduled deprecations and retirements.
