Dynamics 365 Customer Service is replacing Intraday Insights with a new tool called Real-Time Analytics, resulting in an unplanned IT project to adopt the new solution or develop custom reports before support for Intraday Insights ends on Oct. 31, 2023. Real-Time Analytics was released on Apr. 27, 2023, three days before the announcement that Intraday Insights was deprecated. Microsoft states the old feature will remain available until Apr. 30, 2024; however, it is only supported until the end of Oct. 2023. The quick end of support (six months from announcement) impacts customers who prefer or are required by policy or regulation to only use supported features. Regardless of the scenario, customers are now faced with another unplanned and unbudgeted IT project to migrate away from a feature that Microsoft has decided is no longer needed. The growing trend in product and service deprecations and retirements is discussed in Mary Jo Foley’s blog post https://www.directionsonmicrosoft.com/blog/2023-05-18/deprecations-and-discontinuations-whats-microsoft-customer-do. Dynamics 365 is discussed in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap at https://www.directionsonmicrosoft.com/roadmap/ref/dynamics-365.
